The coach with cancer

I just read an article about former coach of the LA Clippers Kim Hughes and his condition.  Apparently a while back, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he needed a surgery that would save his life.  The surgery however, would cost around 70,000 dollars that he did not have.  In a state of great need, he went to the LA Clippers organization and asked for them to pay for his surgery but was turned down by Donald Sterling, the owner of the Clippers.  Fortunately for Hughes, for players named Corey Magette, Marko Jaric, Chris Kaman and Elton Brand chipped in to pay for the surgery that would save his life.  To this day, he continues to thank them every time he sees them.  Maybe other people have heard different stories about how this all went down.  I think he had the surgery a little bit ago but when I read this I did nto know what to think.  How could this rich @ss owner Donald Sterling not help his employee with a surgery that would save his life?  What kind of cold hearted person is he?  I mean, how would many kids survive without the generous support of people doanting to many hospitals and organizations??   Those four players wanted to go unamed because they wanted to know themsleves they had done good however their names did get out.  I praise these guys for their generocity.  It is unbeleivable that there are people in this world as cold as Donald Sterling.  I don't know how someone can love this walking iceburg.
